Frogs in Canberra

The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) is home to 18 frogs and toads.

Unfortunately 3 of these (the Green & Golden Bell Frog Litoria aurea, the Warty Swamp Frog Litoria raniformis, and the Yellow-spotted Tree Frog Litoria castanea) are believed to be locally extinct as these have been no recorded sightings since 1981. Below are the 15 other frogs and toads found in and around the Canberra region.
